Initial survey
If you have a general idea of what you would like to investigate, but are not quite sure whether or not to pursue this idea or you need defining th project, you might want to carry out Müller-BBM's initial survey.
An initial survey may for example consist of:
- Performance test according to internal or external specifications/standards
- Benchmark of acoustics and/or vibro-acoustics properties
- Vibro-acoustics bump test in order to quickly determine the systems's reconance frequencies

Sound quality
The charachteristic sound of a certain product is - in the constantly growing market of consumer products - becoming more and more important in order to survive and expand in the market. Its all about positioning and diversifying your product so that it will have a visible and audible identity that the customer can relate to: "Aha! What a cool design. This I recognize. It sounds like a very good product."
This is widely used in marketing were we often see commersial advertisments that can be recognised both visually and also by listening to the sounds and music long before the company or product logo appears on the screen. Another example could be certain makes of motorcycles. You can identify the bikes purely by the their sound characteristics.
